520_BookPhoto_finals_sm-3

"520", self published in 2018, is a celebration of Ka Yan's fleeting story of freedom featuring photos, paintings and written pieces created during her first seven years as an illegal diaspora and a runaway of Hong Kong in New York City from 2009 - 2017. An intimate body of work which marks a life journey redefining home, identity, and eternal liberation.

“520” was exhibited in NY Art Book Fair 2018 at MoMA PS1, and can be found in the collections of the Irene Lewisohn Costume Reference Library of the Metropolitan Museum and the Asian Art Archive in America.

First Edition, 100 Copies. Signed and numbered by Ka Yan.
